About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Sector Patrol in Culver City, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a leading technology location, where you'll help to deter security-related incidents through regular patrols and a visible presence. Your role involves engaging with people, providing outstanding customer service, and clear communication. As this is a driving post, you will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas by vehicle as well as on foot. Be part of a reliable, agile team that values innovation and puts people first.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within the technology and media location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activities within the location to help to deter prohibited actions and report irregularities.
Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors, providing information and assistance as needed.
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or suspicious activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when required, following established communication procedures.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on security-related practices and protocols specific to the technology and media environment.
