Job Description As a Security Officer - Tech Sector Patrol Driver in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, delivering exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Join a team that values agility, reliability, and integrity. Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual situations.
Document and report security-related incidents and observations according to Allied Universal and site protocols.
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors to provide assistance and support as needed.
Remain alert to changes in the environment and communicate any concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal contacts or site management.

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
