Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any irregularities, such as security breaches, hazards, or unusual activity, according to established protocols.
Work closely with Allied Universal management and site personnel to address security-related concerns and support a secure environment.
Maintain clear and accurate logs and/or reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
Assist with access control, verifying credentials and/or authorizations as required by site policies.
Participate in emergency response activities as directed, supporting both clients and Allied Universal teams during incidents.
Remain alert and aware of surroundings while on duty, adapting to changing conditions within the location.
