About The Position
As a Security Officer - Tech Reception Desk in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist employees, visitors, and/or guests at the front desk, providing a welcoming and professional presence.
- Follow site-specific policies and procedures to support a secure environment within a technology and media location.
- Monitor access control systems and check identification to help to deter unauthorized entry.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports related to daily activities and any security-related incidents.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management as needed.
- Support emergency response activities according to established protocols for the location.
