About The Position
As a Security Officer - Tech Patrol - Overnights in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech campus, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will be a trusted presence for employees and visitors, supporting access control, reporting concerns, and communicating clearly. Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, work areas, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify identification and/or authorization for entry, supporting visitor check-in processes and directing individuals to the appropriate areas.
- Operate site security-related systems such as access control, alarms, and video monitoring when assigned, and communicate status updates using radios, phones, and/or electronic reporting tools.
