About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Screener in New Braunfels, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in the dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor entrances, verify credentials, and interact with visitors and employees to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Screen individuals entering the location to help to deter prohibited items and/or unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or breaches.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of observations, incidents, and/or any unusual activities encountered during the shift.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and management regarding any incidents or concerns at the location.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related risks typical within a tech, media, and telecom environment, and act according to Allied Universal protocols.
