About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Media Screener in Madison, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a SCREENER in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, provide excellent customer service, and support access control procedures. Requirements

  • Possession of a valid Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Screen individuals entering the location, verifying credentials and/or identification in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all activities, incidents, and visitor logs as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and maintain a professional presence.
  • Follow all site-specific protocols for handling sensitive information and/or equipment, particularly in a technology-focused environment.
