As a Security Officer - Tech Media Patrols in Aurora, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and media-focused location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while on patrol.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
  • Follow all Allied Universal protocols and client-specific guidelines while performing assigned duties within a technology and telecommunications environment.
