About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Media Patrol in Tallahassee, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech-focused location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Your role will be key in supporting a secure environment, working collaboratively with others, and upholding our values of integrity, reliability, and innovation in every interaction.

Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required for this client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
Document and report any unusual activities, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and/or visitor identification as required by site protocols.
Communicate clearly with team members and site personnel to relay information regarding incidents and/or potential concerns.
