Security Officer - Tech/Media Patrol Rounds
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Patrol Rounds in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic technology-driven location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You will interact with employees and visitors, offer outstanding customer service, and support a culture built on teamwork, reliability, and integrity, all while representing Allied Universal’s commitment to people-first values.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any potential issues.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and assisting visitors or employees as needed.
- Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment within the location, adapting to changing conditions as necessary.
- Complete all required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
