About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Lobby Reception in Overland Park, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will be the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service while assisting with access control and visitor management. You will help to deter security-related incidents through your professional presence and communication skills, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach in a dynamic, innovative environment.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
  • Assist with visitor management, including checking in guests and issuing visitor badges as required.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences at the front desk area.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, communicating promptly with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity through a professional presence and attention to the front desk area.
