Job Description As a Security Officer - Tech Facility Screener in Lexington, KY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic tech-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence and communication skills will contribute to a secure environment for all. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • CPR or first aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Screen individuals entering the location to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats.
  • Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and interactions according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and management regarding security-related matters.
  • Assist with implementing client policies related to access control and visitor management.
