About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Driving Patrol - Day Shifts in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols throughout a dynamic tech and media location. Your visible presence and commitment to excellent customer service will contribute to a welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the premises and respond promptly to situations while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel.
Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols and site-specific requirements.
Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and on-site staff to support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property.
Remain alert and attentive during patrols to help to deter potential threats and maintain awareness of the surroundings.
