About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Unarmed in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
X ray screening experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, following protocols and responding to incidents as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to observe conditions, identify potential concerns, and help to deter unwanted activity in a tech and media environment.
Monitor access points and report any unusual or suspicious activity to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.
Communicate professionally with individuals on site, including employees, visitors, and contractors, to address questions and provide assistance as needed.
Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site representatives to support a secure and welcoming environment.
