About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Unarmed Patrol in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech-focused locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming atmosphere. You will conduct routine patrols, interact professionally with visitors and employees, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within a technology-focused location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the building and perimeter to help to deter potential issues and observe for unusual activity.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activities.
Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or site representatives regarding incidents, maintenance needs, or hazards identified during patrols.
Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately in daily reports according to Allied Universal and site guidelines.
Assist visitors and employees by providing directions and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
