About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Rounds in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and support a welcoming environment, all while embracing our values of agility, reliability, innovation, and teamwork.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any unusual activity or incidents promptly to the appropriate personnel.
Assist visitors and employees with directions and information as needed, maintaining a professional presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and client representatives.
Participate in training sessions and maintain knowledge of site-specific protocols and emergency procedures.
