About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Rounds in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech and media environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will conduct regular patrols and be a visible resource for those onsite, supporting a welcoming atmosphere that reflects our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for employees and visitors.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activities.
Monitor access points and observe for any unusual activity, reporting concerns according to established protocols.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs specific to a tech and media environment.
