Job Description As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrols in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. You will interact with employees and visitors, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious activity, reporting findings according to site protocols.
Support the enforcement of site rules and regulations as directed by client and Allied Universal management.
Communicate clearly and professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors within the location, offering assistance as needed.
Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
Participate in emergency drills and/or response activities as required by site procedures.
