Job Description As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrols Full-Time in Tacoma, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure atmosphere. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the location while remaining highly visible and approachable. You will deliver outstanding customer service and communication, upholding our values of reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity every day.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious activity within the location.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
Support site operations by maintaining a visible presence and assisting with security-related inquiries from staff and visitors.
