Job Description As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol in Ann Arbor, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech and media environment, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both business areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Maintain awareness of surroundings within a technology, media, and telecom environment, and report any unusual or suspicious activity.
Document incidents and observations according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or guests to provide assistance and information as required.
