About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout a dynamic tech and media location. Your role involves providing exceptional customer service, clear communication, and upholding our values of integrity and teamwork. This position requires a valid driver's license, as you will be responsible for driving as part of your patrol duties.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, which may include office spaces, data centers, and technology environments.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access by maintaining a visible presence during patrols.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and/or site management.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
• Assist employees, visitors, and/or contractors with directions, information, and general inquiries while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Participate in security-related drills and/or emergency response activities as required by the site.
