About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Access in Abbeville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct regular patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents at a dynamic tech and media location. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles at the location.
Verify identification and credentials of individuals requesting access, following site-specific protocols.
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help minimize disruptions.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Document observations, incidents, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client site protocols.
Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to support a secure environment within the tech, media, and telecom setting.
Follow all site-specific policies and procedures, adapting to evolving requirements as needed.
