As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to situations as they arise, and use teamwork to deliver reliable service. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and assist with visitor direction and check-in procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with onsite personnel and/or local public resources when needed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate noteworthy activity to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
