As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to reports, and deliver professional customer service and clear communication to team members and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following site-specific security-related procedures, warehouse policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Control access at facility entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in, and directing drivers to appropriate dock or staging locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the warehouse, yard, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, noting hazards and reporting maintenance concerns through approved channels.
  • Monitor cameras, alarm panels, and other security-related systems, completing shift reports and maintaining accurate logs for truck movements, deliveries, and key events.
