This position begins as a seasonal role, requiring weekend availability and part time hours. However, it serves as an entry point into our organization. Requirements

  • PERC Card required (No Exceptions)
  • Willingness to submit to a background check
  • Some Supervisory experience required
  • Ability to commute to Navy Pier - Public Transportation strongly recommended, as parking for staff is not available
  • Comfortable being on a ship while on the lake
  • Availability to work Friday through Sunday, possible Thursdays.
  • Ability to stand up and walk for 8 hours

Responsibilities

  • Provide a welcoming environment and provide needed services for guests
  • Patrol ship spaces (outdoor and indoor decks) for suspicious activities and unauthorized people
  • Perform a variety of security checks and follow post orders as directed by the establishment
  • Investigate incidents and create reports by recording observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities
  • Communicating with Cruise Ship Staff, and ensuring that individuals are doing their assigned duties.
