As an Access Control Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, greet employees and visitors, and support a smooth check-in experience. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, document activity, and communicate clearly with site contacts. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset.

Requirements

Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Control access at entry points by verifying identification, validating credentials, and directing employees, contractors, and visitors according to site requirements.
Manage visitor processing including sign-in procedures, issuing temporary badges, notifying hosts, and maintaining visitor logs and records.
Monitor access control systems, alarms, and video surveillance when assigned, and report unusual activity per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical, fire, and facility-related alarms as directed by site policy.
Conduct bag checks and property screening when authorized by site policy, and document refusals and/or prohibited items per procedure.
Perform regular and random patrols of the facility, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
Complete detailed reports including incident reports, access-related discrepancies, and shift activity logs, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnover.
Coordinate with site management, onsite personnel, and first responders as needed, and assist with access to restricted areas when authorized.
Follow Allied Universal guidelines, post orders, and client-specific requirements while maintaining a professional presence and appearance.
