As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will deliver a welcoming customer experience while documenting observations and working with your team. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, providing directions, and reporting hazards or suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, entrances, parking areas, service corridors, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor and report security-related conditions such as unsecured doors, loitering, and after-hours access concerns, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Complete routine documentation including patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
