About The Position

As a Security Officer Site Watch with Active Clearance in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. In this role, you will deliver strong customer service and communication while supporting a caring, agile, and reliable team that values innovation, teamwork, and integrity every day.

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
An active DoD Top Secret Clearance is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report access concerns, suspicious behavior, and security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
Support site operations by communicating clearly with supervisors, teammates, and client contacts during routine activity, incidents, and/or changing post conditions.
