Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a government location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and property, and support daily operations through clear communication and professional presence. In this role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering courteous service. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.45 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Tue 06:30 AM - 03:30 PM Fri 06:30 AM - 03:30 PM

Requirements

  • 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Guard card is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and/or deliveries entering the location by following prescribed inspection processes and reporting prohibited items or unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels and documenting security-related events.
  • Verify identification, maintain visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access while following post orders and established location policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, entry points, and surrounding grounds as assigned, noting conditions that may require security-related attention.
