As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and media campus, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams and visitors, and respond to concerns with professionalism and customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a tech-focused location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout offices, loading areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor/vendor check-in processes, verifying credentials, issuing temporary passes when authorized, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
  • Complete shift logs and incident reports, communicate noteworthy activity to the next shift and/or site contacts, and assist with security-related audits such as key control and equipment checks.
