About The Position

As a Security Officer Site EMT in North Haven, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • EMT Certification is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors and/or local emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed, and report maintenance, environmental, and/or security-related issues observed during patrols.
  • Support Allied Universal standards by following post orders, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and maintaining professional interactions in areas where patient care and privacy are important.
