As a Security Officer - Shopping Center Patrol Driver in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and attentive service. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with visitors, and provide exceptional customer service, supporting a welcoming and secure environment for everyone. This position requires a valid driver's license, as driving is an essential part of your responsibilities.

Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment for staff and visitors.
Observe for suspicious behavior or situations and report findings according to established procedures.
Document incidents and maintain accurate records as required by site-specific protocols.
Work collaboratively with store personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and support a positive experience for customers.
Assist with access control and help to deter theft or loss within the retail environment.
