Security Officer - Shopping Center Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Shopping Center Patrol Driver in Foothill Ranch, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a bustling retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence throughout the site. This is a driving post, so you will navigate the property to support a welcoming environment for visitors and tenants. Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail/mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual behavior or conditions.
- Document and report incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
- Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access within the location.
- Support loss prevention efforts by being observant and reporting suspicious behavior or activities related to theft or vandalism.
- Provide visible presence and assist visitors with directions, information, and general inquiries as needed.
