About The Position

As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, screen visitors, employees, and deliveries, verify credentials, and document inbound and outbound activity. You will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and/or contractors at entry points by verifying identification, checking credentials, managing sign-in logs, and monitoring access control systems.
  • Conduct screening of bags, packages, and/or inbound items using approved methods and available equipment while following site rules for prohibited items and reporting concerns through the proper channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and escalating issues to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, monitor dock and yard activity, and report conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or theft.
