Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a women's shelter location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, conducting screening procedures, and providing excellent customer service to guests and residents. By remaining visible and approachable, you will help to deter security-related incidents while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and screen individuals entering the location to help maintain a welcoming and secure environment.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures while conducting security-related tasks.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, involving the appropriate authorities and personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by addressing questions and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain orderly flow.
  • Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or policy violations according to established protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, following Allied Universal and site guidelines.
