About The Position

As a Security Officer - Shelter Patrol Team Lead in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and residents by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance needs within the shelter environment to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain clear and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site protocols.
Communicate with shelter staff, residents, and visitors to provide assistance and information as needed.
Follow all Allied Universal and client site policies and procedures while on duty.
