As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible throughout the site. Your role includes providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to those you interact with. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, residents, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Assist shelter staff and/or residents with access control procedures in accordance with site-specific guidelines.
Maintain clear and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and/or interactions as required by Allied Universal and the site.
Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment for all.
