Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
- Ability to obtain required state, county, or city issued security-related license (if applicable by law)
Nice To Haves
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and appropriate emergency response activities at a busy retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the location, including storefront areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns, and report issues to the appropriate contact.
- Support loss prevention and crowd management efforts by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directional questions, and communicating with site contacts during alarms, medical calls, and/or other incidents.
