As an unarmed patrol officer at a high-tech aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors while using Allied Universal tools and procedures. Requirements

  • An active DoD Confidential Clearance is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, labs, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access through designated entry points by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and/or directing authorized personnel to appropriate locations per site procedures.
  • Complete patrol, incident, and/or shift activity reports with clear, timely documentation and notify appropriate personnel of observed hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy concerns.
