About The Position

As a Security Officer - Security Clearance Aero/Defense Patrol in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience are required.
An active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related breaches to the appropriate personnel.
Assist in controlling access to restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, representing Allied Universal at all times.
Support emergency response activities by following established protocols and collaborating with local authorities when required.
Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
