About The Position

As a Security Officer - Security Clearance Aero/Defense Patrol in Herndon, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience are required.
  • An active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related breaches to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in controlling access to restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, representing Allied Universal at all times.
  • Support emergency response activities by following established protocols and collaborating with local authorities when required.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
