The Security Officer is responsible for protecting company assets and providing a safe environment for employees and guests. This role includes ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and fellow employees, giving directions, providing escorts to customers, assisting civil and law enforcement authorities, and making chip fills and jackpot verifications. The officer will regularly escort money and individuals in money-handling positions, provide first aid and CPR when necessary, patrol the property to identify safety hazards, and document incidents in accordance with company policy. The position requires adherence to company policies and attendance guidelines.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of guests and fellow employees.
  • Provide directions and escort customers in need.
  • Assist civil and law enforcement authorities, including providing testimony in court.
  • Make chip fills and jackpot verifications.
  • Regularly escort money and persons in money-handling positions.
  • Provide first aid, including CPR when necessary.
  • Patrol all sections of property to identify safety hazards and security breaches.
  • Interview, investigate, and document incidents according to company policy.
  • Make detailed descriptions of lost and found items and incidents.
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to obtain and possess a Nevada Gaming Card and an Alcohol Awareness Card (AES).
  • First Aid & CPR certifications are required.
  • High school graduate or equivalent is required.
  • Two years' experience in a position with direct guest contact is required.
  • Prefer individual with two years police, military, or casino security experience.
  • Prior experience in a position with direct guest contact is preferred.
  • Ability to manage several tasks at once.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of basic computer programs.
  • Must possess a current and valid Nevada Driver's License.
  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must undergo eight (8) hours of ASP (baton) training.
  • Must be able to prepare effective written reports.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
