As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support daily operations by monitoring assigned areas, conducting screening and access checks, and completing routine patrols. You will remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, communicate clearly with team members and site leadership, and deliver a welcoming customer service experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct screening of employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries as assigned, including verifying identification and authorization, inspecting packages and belongings as permitted, and controlling access at designated entry points.
  • Monitor alarms, access control systems, and/or video surveillance for unusual activity and report concerns according to post orders to help to deter unauthorized access and theft.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support and/or emergency services when needed and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete routine reporting such as screening logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate observations and handoffs to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
