About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Technician in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen people and property, and support access activities while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with site procedures and shipping-related protocols.
Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting and reporting relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, screening areas, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Monitor entry points and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items while supporting the orderly flow of people and deliveries.
