Security Officer Screening Specialist
About The Position
As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic campus location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and/or staff, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will remain visible, assist with routine security-related responsibilities, and work as part of a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, and acting with integrity.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
- Perform screening and access control activities in accordance with site-specific procedures and visitor requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, as assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
