As a Screener with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support daily operations by conducting screening activities, monitoring access points, and completing security-related checks and documentation. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and deliver responsive customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and/or contractors at entry points using site-approved screening methods, verify credentials, and help to maintain orderly access and exit flow.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and/or screening equipment, document unusual activity, and promptly communicate concerns to site leadership per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, disturbances, and/or fire-related alarms as directed by site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including docks, parking areas, and perimeter points, reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations.
