About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Agent in TRACY, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, screen visitors and/or materials, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. Requirements

A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
Screen people, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with established screening protocols and post instructions.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and activities according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, access points, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
Monitor entry and exit activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and communicate professionally with site contacts regarding security-related concerns and/or policy questions.
