Job Description As a Security Officer - School Security Patrol in Penns Grove, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol the education location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence throughout the area. You will conduct routine patrols, support a secure environment for students and staff, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities in an educational environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting students, staff, and visitors as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site protocols.
Support access control procedures by verifying identification and assisting with visitor management as required.
Document and communicate any incidents, hazards, or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
Work collaboratively with school administration and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disruptions and foster positive interactions with the school community.
