As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and remaining visible throughout the campus. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a positive environment. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, assisting with security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain a secure environment within the education location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, conditions, or situations encountered during patrols or while on post.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and visitors, offering assistance as needed and reporting relevant information to Allied Universal and/or client representatives.
  • Follow all site-specific protocols and instructions provided by Allied Universal and/or the client, adapting to changing conditions within the education environment.
