Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the education location in a calm, problem-solving manner, seeking assistance when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Observe and report any unusual conditions, hazards, or activities encountered during patrols to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
Assist in access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas, helping to verify identification and authorization as needed.
Document and report all incidents, accidents, or security-related matters according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Provide visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and offer assistance to individuals as needed throughout the location.
