As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout an educational location. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Six months or more of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an educational setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual situations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying identification as needed.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency drills and/or real emergencies by following established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide reassurance to the campus community.
